Ginger Bread Cake Recipe

This Gingerbread cake like the title says, is the Best Gingerbread Cake I have ever tasted and made! It tastes just like a gingerbread cookie but richer and heartier, it's literally a cross between a Gingerbread cookie and Moist Ginger Bread. Yes, this cake is SO Moist and Delicious it can be eaten all on it's own... FULL STEP BY STEP RECIPE VIDEO BELOW⬇️⬇️

But it is so delicious with frosting as well. I love making this Gingerbread cake during the Holidays, I even transformed it into a giant Gingerbread cookie cake. Watch How I decorated my cake with a Gingerbread Frosting to keep that Gingerbread flavor throughout!




Ingredients:

-2 cups Bisquick Baking mix

-1-1/2 teaspoons Baking powder

-1/2 teaspoon Salt

-2 teaspoons Cinnamon

-2 teaspoons Ginger

-1/2 cup melted Butter

-3/4 cups Brown Sugar

-3/4 cups Molasses

-3/4 cups boiling Water

-1 egg


Directions:

In a large bowl, mix the flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and ginger. Set aside.


In a mixing bowl add the melted butter, brown sugar, molasses, and boiling water. Mix on Low until the mixture has cooled (about 5 minutes). Then add the egg and continue mixing.



Add the Flour in little by little as the mixer is mixing on Low.



The batter should be thick and creamy!

I poured my batter into a greased and lined 9x13 inch cake pan, and spread it out evenly with a spatula.


Bake the cake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes. Your kitchen will smell AMAZING!



Like I stated earlier, this Cake tastes Amazing just like this or with some vanilla frosting.But, I took it to the NEXT Level! I turned my Gingerbread Cake into an actual GIANT GINGERBREAD COOKIE CAKE! I used the cake scraps that were leftover after carving the cake and added them into the frosting and OH MY! It tasted amazing, nothing went to waste and the gingerbread flavor went throughout the entire cake! WATCH THE VIDEOS BELOW⬇️⬇️
