Ingredients:
-1 cup Almond Milk
-2 tablespoons Butter
-1/3 cup Brown Sugar
-2 cups Heavy Cream
-1/4 cup sweetened condensed milk
-1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
-1 cup Pecans
-Pinch of Salt
-2 teaspoons Maple Syrup
Tools:
Directions:
In a large pot over Medium heat, add the milk, butter, and sugar. Cook until the sugar and butter dissolve and melt, then remove from the heat.
Toast the pecans in a pan over Medium heat for 2-3 minutes, sprinkle with salt and set aside.
In a large bowl add the sugar and milk mixture from earlier along with the heavy cream, sweetened condensed milk, and vanilla. Whisk everything together well, and let it cool in the freezer for a few minutes.
Pour the ice cream base into an ice cream machine, let it churn for about 25 minutes.
After about 25 minutes when the mixture has thickened a bit, add in the pecans and mix them in with a spatula. Let the ice cream churn for an extra 5 minutes, while it's churning add a few more teaspoons of sugar to your liking.
Transfer the ice cream from the ice cream maker bowl into another bowl or container, drizzle the maple syrup into the ice cream and fold it in. This really enhances the pecan flavor and makes a huge difference.
Let it firm up in the freezer for about 20 minutes or eat it as a soft serve and ENJOY!
